The Haiku consist of three lines, and is unrhymed. The poem consist of seventeen (17) syllables, with the first and third lines having five (5) syllables each, and the middle line seven (7), syllables. The general theme is of nature, however modernized/westernized forms of haiku are written in a variety of themes. The form comes from Japan.
