Home is Hope

Through the morning sunrise,

above the elongated hills of green,

there appeared a glow.

In this mirage, I saw what could be.

Into the night fall,

receding warmth crept

back into the arms of the land.

Hope seeped through the crevasses,

And crawled into the hearts of those in need.

Somewhere beneath the curved horizon,

there was a place for my children and I.

A home to lay our heads.

Critique:So visual & so beautiful. You're right, home isn't about bricks and mortar, it's about being safe & happy with the ones you love. I can't say which is my favourite line, they all equally beautiful & full of feeling.
