Togetherness

As we laid together, the smell of love was there.
We spent the night together, to show how much we cared.
How long we laid in darkness, I guess we'll never know.
But the love I felt that night, I know will never go.

I remember the night I met you, the snow was falling hard.
My body was right with you, though my mind was very far.
I was thinking of the future, although now it is the past.
It's scary how the years go by, it's amazing just how fast.

Yes we lay together, the smell of love is there.
We spend our lives together, because we do still care.
