| Critique: | Hi Dennis, I really like this. I know the concept isn't so original, how many times have we been told things like "If you never try, you'll never know!" or "give it a go, you might just succeed", but I love how you put that concept across so succinctly in the form of a haiku. The haiku form seems to give it so much more power, it makes the reader more receptive to hearing the message, less of a telling off or nagging, more of a revelation. You're absolutely right, success is never guaranteed, but if you give up then failure is a certainty. Great title too. This has come at a good time for me, you've just persuaded me to choose to fight on with certain things in my life. Thanks for this haiku Dennis. |
