Critique:This sums up Christmas, it is about children and their imaginations that prolong the tradition form one generation to another. Your words are great, you say it and a warm feeling encompasses our memories and why we do it for our children, great writing in so few words.

Critique:I think that Christmas is such a magical season, especially for children, which totally makes sense since it's a celebration of the coming of the Christ child. Your haiku leaves much to think of, I especially like how the last line is written...as if you left it to the reader to think of what it could be that makes the children's eyes glow (could be innocence, wonder, excitement...or perhaps all combined). Thanks for sharing this, Sharon...makes one remember how simple and yet how special the essence of Christmas is. And I'm glad I can somehow relate to your first line..having been able to get a whiff of fresh pine for the first time (last year) in my almost 3 decades of existence on this earth :D! Merry Christmas!
