Turning Leaves
dissolving summers yield a muted sheen and drawn-out shadows over meadows sprawl; like dappled sunlight, golden peppered green, the newly turning leaves sketch hints of fall, in subtle hues at first, to softly blend and blur the edge of treasured memories with paths uncharted, yet to comprehend, still ruffled by the scent of last night's breeze. An autumn palette, growing ever deep, brings ochre, reds and russets from the past, a richly coloured crop of times to reap and weave a tapestry to ever last.
