Red and White Castle

My car dragging across the rugged asphalt
Running on empty, getting ready to die
And why does it have to be so damn hot?
In the distance...no...seriously?....
A bright, red and white castle is flashing on the horizon
It could be my imagination but....
A sound from the engine startles me
Wait...not the engine, my stomach
Okay, so I need some food....fast
So I drive up to the castle and gaze in awe
The sun's rays bouncing and racing across it

I walk in and bells chime at my arrival
Soft music drifts towards me and pulls me in
I scan the room and decide to sit down
Walking across a checkerboard floor
My nose is stung with smells of food and something resembling...
Windex?
Suddenly, out of nowhere
The graceful Queen floats over to me and says with a smile that she'll give me three wishes
I think long and hard, my eyes scanning over tiny black words written on the table in front of me

I try to decide what my heart desires above all things...

There's gotta be a catch to this...
Can it really be that simple?
And where the hell's the dragon?

You just can't have a castle without one of those, can you?
Suddenly, a loud roar erupts from somewhere in back of the castle

Flames billow up from behind the long shiny table to my right

My question is answered and I rest my case

I decide to avoid that particular area

The Queen, in her white and red gown and black crown, asks me once more what I desire most
Nervously, but surely, I tell her
She smiles and then disappears from my view
I take the time to analyze my surroundings
Who knows when I shall return to this place?
The walls are decorated with a large mural of people
Perhaps the other royals? Possibly depicting the story of battles long passed?
The windows are sparkling with the setting sun's rays

The Queen returns and places a small, box into my hands
She smiles and tells me to carry on with my day safely
I nod to her, say the same with a smile, and then reach for the exit

Once outside, I take a deep breath of fresh air
Blinking out the sun and baking in the damn heat once more, I return to my piece of shit car with the dents and flaws
And slowly drive away

Critique:Ha ha, you got me - me of all people. I can usually smell a twist coming. I like your stuff, it's always well laid out, plenty of background fill(padding out)even paced and unusual in this case - little punctuation - which allows the story to flow. But I haven't said anything here that you don't already know, have I. Nice one.
