Whistler

When everything is still and you want company,

whistle, and the wind will come

The birds will join you in the rhapsody,

singing their song and then some

Feel the breeze run through your hair,

look at the clouds change shape in the sky

Watch the leaves dance in the air,

Listen to their rustling song as they pass by

When everything is still and you want company,

"Whistle, and the wind will come"

That is what my grandfather told me,

I miss him so and then some

Critique:A very pleasent and thoughtful write here that took the reader for a ride. Made them realize they are still here to enjoy the simple things in life, Seems your grandfather had some wisdom about him and was concerned enough to pass it along. Your free verse was well constructed as presented to the reader, it just simply flowed and made sence. Excellent write to be enjoyed.
