The Day That I Saw Jesus

Who is this man from Galilee, they call the King of the Jews?
They scourged Him so badly, whatever did He do?
Pilate could find no fault in Him, yet look how this man bleeds.
He’s fallen from exhaustion, His beaten body it has needs.

I hear He healed the blind to see, He even raised the dead.
They say He fed a multitude, with baskets of fish and bread.
He claimed to be the Son of man, Some say the Son of God.
So He’s going to His death, I think this system’s flawed.

Now this man has stumbled, from the weight of His own cross.
And Simon ordered by a guard, did lift it with a toss.
Again this man named Jesus, has fallen to the ground.
A woman offers Him a drink, He speaks to her, she frowns.

Could this Jesus be the one Messiah, the Savior of us all?
My heart is going out to Him, I think I hear His call.
As they lay Him out upon the cross, I yell “ Oh My Lord!”
As the nail is piercing Him, I swear a lion roared!

I scream out “ I’m a sinner Lord, please take me from this place.”
A warmth spreads through my body, there’s a calmness on my face.
Now Christ is fully crucified, He has paid mankind’s due.
He said “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do.”

Critique:I really liked this piece. I don't think that the rhyming was forced at all really. And the flow was flawless. I really enjoyed this, a nice read for easter time dont' you think?

Critique:First of all, the title is really good in grabbing my attention. It provided a certain openness to it that spoke of your belief.  It's a  wonderful poem to remind everyone of this one man's sacrifice for mankind. It really does flow nicely and makes for a superb read. There is a typographical error though on "Pilate" in the third line. Apart from it, there's nothing else to be changed.
