The Riddle of I

Beginning the infinite insanity of intrigue,

I weave myself in invincibility

If I find a place among the stars,

it will pave a path that leads to somewhere

It's a place where enigma can never elude me

as I become forever lost in the mystery

of seeing myself as part of the question

but never becoming a part of the answer

It's where ignorance has found a place for me

even as I stand as a pillar of inspiration

Now, I'm right in the middle of emptiness

but lost in the chasm of hollowness

Surely I cannot be severed from reality

lest I risk losing my identity

For I am but a sigh in a whisper

while ever present in the wind

I am but a ripple in the river

while never present in the sea

And I shall remain among the living

as I'll be gone in death, but not in dying

Critique:I can never be in awe although I will always be in the midst of admiration of your poem (sorry couldn't resist continuing the theme). Very clever & thought provoking as a poem in its own right, even without the riddle theme. I enjoyed reading it.  I came back to revise the grade on this critique, having read it again I think it deserves 4 stars, its a great write & a vote for spotlight writing.
