Picture of Nyasha wearing a nice jacket and Stiped Tie

(A dedication for the Culture and Religion by Nyasha Musimwa)

Our World is but a Global Village.
Let’s share;
Then shall we live for a reason.
Knowledge, if we hoard,
Poor and Ignorance
We shall all die.

Rich are our Cultures.
Wonderful and beautiful remain our Religions.
Let’s share;
Understanding and tolerance
Peace and Harmony
Our World shall hunger not.

Different are our colours.
But one we are, People.
Let’s share;
The Signs of the Times
Shall we all live to see.

Tomorrow’s tomorrow shall we live to enjoy!

Critique:I like your message, and yes knowledge to key, and those of us that are different fro the norn sometimes have to deal with thing we otherwise would not have to. The concept of a global village is an ideal worth standing up for, but as long as people the world over can stop putting people into seperate class's I do not see it happening. Thank you commenting on my poem..............joe

Critique:Thank you for sharing this. We are indeed a global village, more than we have ever been. Before the modern age little that happened outside of our own immediate areas effected us. But now even a sneeze across great oceans can have an impact. Understand and tolerance is the key, I totally agree...where there is understanding there is less fear, fear is what keeps us apart. The more we know wbout each other, the more we see we are not so different. I like this.

Critique:You discuss the subject of utopia, in my opinion, and we all know that it may be possible, maybe someday, but the concept is beautiful and something to be strived for. It takes writers to expose concepts and you do it well. I have always been an advocate for human rights because regardlees of colour, we are all in the same boat and all want to be happy, so, why not. Keep on writing. Dennis
